About myself

    

Profession: Diploma’d engineer (with university degree) in construction engineering, Consulting engineer in hydraulic engineering and dam building, now retired.

Membership in dog societies:
Since 1989 in Deutscher Club für Nordische Hunde (DCNH, German Club for Nordic Dogs),
1989 in AKIHO Society JAPAN and
since 1989 in JAPAN KENNEL CLUB (JKC).

Because it’s to much stress, I do not go to exhibitions with my dogs any longer.

How I became a friend of dogs
I have always loved dogs.
As a student I already had a German shepherd (of the old type) called REX.

When I was a young engineer, living abroad für professional reasons, my great love (in the animal kindom, that is!) was a LION.

When I had returned to Munich, I rescued a shepherd-collie half-breed bitch called ASTA (then 3 months old) from the animal home. ASTA lived to become 11 years old.

When my professional career led me to Nuremberg my great love for the Japanese Akitas began.

For one year I have been living together with my seven fully-grown Japanese Akitas in a 220 sq.m bungalow 10 km away from Nuremberg with plenty of space to run around on the site and paths for walks in a forest that is only ca. 100 m away.
